Seven Years of Safety

On Wed April 12, 2025 Bergkamp officially reached the mark of Seven Years with no lost time work accidents. This stretch of working safe began on April 12, 2018.  To celebrate this milestone, Bergkamp’s Safety Team hosted a celebration lunch provided by Jim’s Chicken from Salina, and passed out employee gifts.  As a reward to all the Bergkamp employees who practice good safety habits every day, each employee received a Bergkamp branded Mag-lite and hooded sweatshirt.   

In his address to the employees assembled for the Safety award ceremony, Jason Bergkamp congratulated Bergkamp employees for continuing to work safe every day.  “We are able to achieve 7 years of No Lost time accidents because working safe is part of our culture.  Each of you chooses to work safe every day, and that’s fantastic “.   

Jason continued with “Working safely is a tradition we have enjoyed for many years here at Bergkamp, and working safely every day is also a reflection of the Begkamp core values.

1.  Do the Right Thing:  Working safely is the right thing to do for each of us everyday.
2. Care about your craft:  Every craftsman uses the right tools, and when each of you uses your tools safely you are keeping yourself safe.
3. Respect People: At Bergkamp we respect each other enough to work safely around and with everyone else.  When each of you works safely you are respecting yourselves and your coworkers.
4. Focus on the Customer:  Working safely here at Bergkamp is the right thing to do not only for us, but for our customers.    Not only do we build safety into our products, but we build products that help keep our customers safe”.
