Bergkamp equipment uses polymer-modified asphalt emulsion that produces a chemical reaction to force the moisture out and can set in less than an hour allowing traffic to return quickly. In essence, you can do more work because the process moves much faster.
Much more than a monitoring system, EMCAD stands for Electronic Mix Control and Diagnostic system. EMCAD controls the mix by providing an electronic link between the aggregate delivery belt and all other mix materials (emulsion, mineral filler, water and additive) that monitors and adjusts systems to keep the mixture in the desired design. EMCAD also monitors machine and mix functions and provides diagnostics and operator warnings when problems occur. EMCAD also shortens calibration time and reduces calculations and reporting time.
The M310 is controlled electronically by the EMCAD system, which controls the speed of the aggregate belt, emulsion, water, and additive pumps to maintain all material rates regardless of truck speed. It simplifies mix management and calibration, allowing quick changes in production rates without affecting the material mix.
